The problem
Putting the school out there
My university (DEVINE Howest) organised a competition for 2026’s sticker sheet. They wanted something vibrant and colourful, that would faithfully represent their image.
The solution
Stickers with an emphasis on COLORFUL
I designed a sticker sheet with elements of everything the school means to me, going for a bold, vibrant design - nothing held back. I incorporated stickers of various sizes to ensure they fit all sorts of use cases, as well as different styles - series, simple logo bubbles, more complex illustrations depicting events or unmistakeable aspects of the DEVINE way of life.

THE CHALLENGES
The loser’s dilemma
I did not, in fact, come out on top of the sticker competition. For me, there’s an important lesson to be learned here as well. I debated for a long time whether I should even include them here, if they’re worth anything if they weren’t winners. I say yes - my hard work means more than a prize.
A different medium
Throughout my design journey, print has not been a medium I became familiar with. This new challenge was welcomed - a fun break from the world of websites and animations, where RGB turned to CMYK.
Consistency…
I had plenty of ideas, but designing them all in the same style proved quite challenging. Making sure I stuck to the same colours, shapes and visual elements for more than a dozen stickers took me more time than I would have thought.
