"Moretus: Shattered Legacy"
The problem
Old shouldn’t mean outdated.
As the only museum with UNESCO World Heritage status, Antwerp's Plantin-Moretus needed a modern, digital-first approach to share its early printing legacy. The goal: excite and attract a new generation of visitors before they even arrive.
The solution
An interactive, digital story
The website interactively chronicles the press's multi-generational rise and fall. Key owners are brought to life through animations and timeless visuals that adapt to their specific eras.

THE CHALLENGES
Modern looks with a classic feel.
Adapting 16th-19th century aesthetics to modern audiences and design standards was challenging, but remained nonetheless essential for achieving the goal of this project.
Not too boring, not too different.
The story I wanted to tell pretty long, spanning multiple chapters. I gave each one a a distinct appearance to reflect the changes in the story and to prevent visual fatigue. Of course, the changes couldn’t be too dramatic so as to maintain a cohesive style.
Short time!
The duration of the project spanned 4 weeks, which means I had to be more careful with my planning than usual. Each day had specific tasks that needed completion and progress was tracked via Toggl.
